Results of Lithuanian Film Tax Incentive

Implemented in 2014, the Lithuanian Film Tax Incentive covers up to 30% of the production budget, the scheme will be effective in its current form until 31 December 2028.

Since 2014, 671 production has benefited from the Lithuanian Film Tax Incentive by getting a total of €133,4 million in investment for film production. 

The scheme was used by:

  • 131 foreign films;
  • 127 co-productions;
  • 412 national films.

Investments for film production were granted by 436 local companies in amounts ranging from 1 thousand to over 1,6 million euros. In 2025 Lithuanian business companies invested more than 25 million euros through this scheme.
