About the film
Andrius and Liuka, the offsprings of Šatas and Kaminskas families living in a countryside, fall in love with each other. However, their love is suddenly threatened by... a cow: when a cow that was sold to Kaminskas by Šatas dies, a serious feud starts between the two families. Andrius and Liuka’s relationship becomes a forbidden affair. In the hope of reconciling the two families, Andrius promises Liuka to buy a new cow, but that makes everything even worse.
This is a lyrical story about memories of childhood, adolescence, and first love in a small provincial town, shown through complexity of human relations at this periodical film.
