About the film
Fact is a dramatisation of the massacre in a Lithuanian village during World War II when the Nazis rounded up over 100 old men, women, and children accused of partisan activities and then torched the houses in which they were held. Using the Russian interrogations of the few survivors, as well as the testimony of villagers and of some of the Germans responsible for the killing, the film gradually reconstructs the event and its context.
