About the film
Two friends—young boys Vytukas and Saulius— decide to run away to the sea and become brave sailors. Tiburcijus, a rascal and swindler, offers them his help introducing himself as an “old sea dog” in the hope to make good money on this matter. Having told their parents that they are going to see their relatives, the boys hit the road. This is the first film that was entirely made by Lithuanian cinematographers only (i. e. entirely independently from the Soviet Union film company).
