Lithuanian Film Heritage
The Lithuanian Film Centre is committed to the digitisation and restoration of Lithuania’s cinematic heritage in order to preserve it and make it accessible to the public. It also promotes the distribution of restored Lithuanian films both nationally and internationally.
The current collection of restored films includes more than 50 feature, animated, and documentary films. These films are digitised and restored in cooperation with Lithuanian and international image and sound restoration specialists, film directors, cinematographers, and other experts.
The Lithuanian Film Centre holds the copyright to films produced by the Lithuanian Film Studio between 1940 and 2004.
The Lithuanian Film Centre issues screening licences for both theatrical and non-theatrical film screenings.
