Lithuania will focus on cooperation with Ukraine at the Odessa Film Festival

During Industry days of the Odessa International Film Festival, Lithuanian Film Centre and Festival’s team will strengthen the partnership between Lithuanian and Ukrainian film industries. The delegation of Lithuanian producers is heading to look for new partners and present opportunities to create films together. 

Lithuanian film industry will be represented in the International Odessa film festival’s industry event program. During the discussion called “Cooperation opportunities with Lithuania”, film financing mechanisms, tax relief for the film industry will be presented. Also, cooperation opportunities and positive cooperation examples will be shared by producers who have experience with Ukrainian film industry and co-producer of Šarūnas Bartas film „Šerkšnas“ – Jelena Jeršova.

Some members of Lithuanian delegation will participate in the Odessa film festival’s industry event: Lithuanian film center representatives Dovilė Butnoriūtė and Audrius Kuprevičius, film producers’ delegation: Stasys Baltakis („FilmJam“), Gabija Siurbytė („Dansu Films“), Ieva Norvilienė („Tremora“), Teresa Rožanovska („Ketvirta Versija“).

Lithuanians will be also seen in the festivals film program. Ernestas Jankauskas debut film „Čia buvo Saša“ will compete for the best film prize. This is the only film in the program from the Baltic states.
