Results of Lithuanian Film Tax Incentive

Implemented in 2014, the Lithuanian Film Tax Incentive covers up to 30% of the production budget, the scheme will be effective in its current form until 31 December 2023.

Since 2014, 215 productions have benefited from the Lithuanian Film Tax Incentive by getting a total of €35,6 million in investment for film production, Meanwhile, international production expenses in the country this year reached a total of 103 million.

The scheme was used by:

  • 53 foreign films;
  • 58 co-productions;
  • 104 national films.

Investments for film production were granted by 200 local companies in amounts ranging from 1000 to over 1.6 million euros. This year lithuanian business companies invested more than 11 million euros through this scheme.
