Lithuania will be one of the four countries under the spotlight of the 11th Les Arcs Film Festival, which will take place from 14-21 December. The country’s presence is quite impressive, as one film will be screened in the Official Competition, three projects are ready to be presented in the industry section, and three features and two shorts will be screened under the festival’s spotlight. In addition, the gathering will welcome the biggest delegation of almost 20 Lithuanian film professionals to the event.
Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Baltic film centres opened the call entries for the for the development award for co-productions between Italy and Lithuania, Latvia or Estonia. The winner of the €30,000 award will be announced at the ninth edition of Trieste Film Festival Co-Production Forum “When East Meets West“ (WEMW) January 19-21, 2020.
Today, the 16th international animation festival Animateka starts in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. For the first time ever, this year’s program is dedicated to the Baltic animation. Program „Focus on the Baltics“ was created in cooperation with national film centers of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.
