Three Lithuanian producers are selected to participate in the new industry programme “Matchmaking Forum“, to be held on July 17–20 during the Pula Film Festival (Croatia), with Lithuania and Georgia this year being guest countries at the event.
The Matchmaking forum in Pula will consist of several events, making it possible for the producers to present their projects still in production to international film industry experts in order to further develop and complete the films successfully. The industry programme will be attended by Lithuanian producers Andrius Lekavičius with his partly-animated feature documentary “The L-Team“, Romas Zabarauskas with his film “The Lawyer“ and Kristina Ramanauskaitė with the film by Ignas Jonynas “Invisible“.
The Co-Production Market at the Matchmaking forum is a platform to support European and regional producers to secure financing for their projects (mainly fiction, documentaries and TV projects) through one-to-one meetings with potential and pertinent professionals – producers, sales agents, distributors, financiers, broadcasters, funds and other decision-makers, – while participation in the Work in Progress workshop provides concrete assistance in the completion of films as well as in promoting co-production partnerships and market access.
Lithuanian film tax incentive, giving an opportunity to save up to 20% of the film production budget through private investment scheme, and national film funding system will also be introduced at the Matchmaking forum in Pula.
Participation of Lithuanian producers in the programme is initiated and supported by the Lithuanian Film Centre.
